success

This is what we like to call success:

Tommy Hilgiffer at one time manufactured his men's shirts in the U.S. until he found he could cut his labor costs and have the shirts made in India and pay the workers three dollars an hour. Tommy Hill did not pass on the savings to his customers. Alas, he found he could cut cost again by moving his factory to Malaysia and pay his workers just thirty five cents an hour and again he did not pass on the savings. Finally, he moved his work to Vietnam where he could manufacturer his men's shirts for just fifteen cents an hour and no he did not pass on the savings to the country where he got his start. Some of you see absolutely no problem with this and are trying to figure out how you could work this deal for yourselves. Almost everything is made in another country with our blessing and we wonder why we have unemployment is nine percent

Let them eat Twinkies

I am afraid that a Republican will be president and I am sure there are many republicans who are salivating to cut entitlements to the poor and those on social security. After all, those folks should get a job or have the good grace to die. We cannot keep paying out all that money for folks who don't or won't produce. The faster we cut off the safety net and the quicker they will succumb to illness and we will be rid of that social security boat anchor. Non productive citizens should be eliminated because they put a drag on everyone's 401 k.

This is the way it must have felt in the late 1930's in Germany and in Russia and China during the 1950's scary, very scary!

Professionals

When I was much younger the word professional meant one thing and to be a professional you were either a doctor or a lawyer and that was the lot. Scientists were really not considered to be professional. Today, anything and anybody can and is considered a professional. You really do not have to do anything other than say that you are a professional to be just that. Dare I say it: times have changed!

Resign or be fired

Harris was given a choice to resign or be fired.   Harris was to meet with his boss and the manager or the human resources department for a talk.  Harris figured that you aren’t getting promoted so, he decided to avoid the perp walk and he resigned.  Harris felt he was the victim of circumstance.  I think he trusted the wrong folks and paid for it with his job.

Just wondering about something that has been said over and over:  We cannot tax the rich because they are the job creators!  Well they have had four or more years to create those jobs and I have yet to see this flood of jobs.  I would guess that if you tell a lie long enough and hard enough it will be true.

The definition of insanity is doing the something over and over again expecting a different result.  So, it might be time to give up on the Indians and the Browns and the Cav’s I have been a fan since 1964 and I think I have had enough.
